MBE SERVICES
"Area Construction Facts" Newsletter:
A weekly newsletter is preferably emailed or else mailed to members. The newsletter lists plans and specifications that are on file at the MBE office for commercial construction projects around the Upper Peninsula and beyond.
"Members Only" Plan Room:
Members only are permitted to view, print copies or check out plans from the MBE office overnight or on weekends. (Rules apply.)
Membership Meetings:
Nine board meetings are held annually, and the Annual Dinner Meeting is held in February for all members and guests.
Plans and Specifications for Construction Projects:
Plans are available for viewing at the MBE office during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
Reference Material at the MBE:
For members' use: Thomas Registers, Sweets Catalogs, MDOT Manuals, BOCA Code Manuals, Michigan Contractor and Builder Magazine, etc.
U.P. Builders Show:
The U.P. Builders Show is held in March of each year in Marquette, Michigan. Members of the Marquette Builders Exchange are eligible for reduced rates on booths.
Fax Services:
Members' cost to send faxes is $1.00 for the first one to four pages and $ .25 for each page after. Non-members are charged more. Faxes are received at no charge.
Photo-Copy Services:
The MBE Office has two copying machines. One makes small copies up to 11” x 17”. The Xerox 8850 Large Format Digital Copy/Scan System does multiple functions which includes scanning and copying to and from the internet, email, CD or memory stick. It also reduces and enlarges, prints collated sets and does inverse and mirror imaging. It also copies originals of all shapes and sizes 36" wide up to 1/2 inch thick to any length. Members receive discounted rates on all copying procedures. Non-members are charged more. The general public is also welcome to receive copy services.
